ABOUT US

Our Mission

We believe all students can learn at higher levels and should be given the necessary time and resources to do so. The Partnership therefore is committed to the ongoing support of the following:

Local accountability to ensure the success of schools and students
High academic standards
Accurate and fair assessments to measure what students know and can do
Competent and inspired teachers
Challenging curriculum and high quality classroom instruction
Cutting-edge technology
Commitment to continuous academic improvement
Active involvement of parents
Supportive communities
In support of these issues, the Partnership:

builds understanding of reform and its importance through public information
guides business initiatives that address challenges inherent in changing schools
provides teacher support through technical assistance and continuing education opportunities
creates a positive learning experience by encouraging community involvement in education
The Partnership for Kentucky Schools is funded through individual contributions and grants from foundations and businesses. The Partnership receives no governmental funding.
